About This Affiliate
Established in 1952, Mental Health America of Putnam County (MHAoPC) is a not-for-profit organization. It is also an affiliate of Mental Health America, the largest mental health association in the United States.
Mission Statement: Dedicated to promoting community wide mental health and improving the quality of life of residents impacted by mental health concerns. We do this through advocacy, education, collaboration, support services, and prevention activities.
The goal of MHAoPC is to erase the stigma of mental health conditions and to provide mental health education throughout Putnam County. To accomplish this, MHAoPC acts as a resource to individuals seeking information and provides programs to educate the community to prevent and combat mental health challenges, while promoting mental wellness.
All programs and activities of MHAoPC are made possible through memberships, direct contributions, Putnam County EDIT and ARPA fund allocations, private gifts, fundraisers, and the generous donation of time by MHAoPC volunteers.
