MHA of Fredericksburg

Founded in 1955 by local citizens, Mental Health America of Fredericksburg (MHAfred) is our community’s oldest nonprofit 501(c)3 charitable organization addressing behavioral health, including substance use disorder and mental health.

For over six decades, MHAfred has worked across Virginia Health Planning District 16 (PD16), which includes Fredricksburg City and the counties of Caroline, King George, Spotsylvania, and Stafford. MHAfred completes our mission by identifying gaps in local services and creating unique programs and partnerships to address these needs. MHAfred programs are established and maintained in collaboration with the diverse communities across the Fredericksburg region that benefit from these services.
